Your associates need you to wake up each day and decide to invest in them—again and again. So, let’s do more than an annual Employee Appreciation Day email. Your staff needs—and deserves—to feel valued and know they contribute to your company’s purpose.
Think of it like diet versus lifestyle. We all know that “diets” don’t truly work, right? We all too easily fail them because they’re so rigid. Instead, it’s a lifestyle change of increased movement and healthier food choices in general that have far greater impact.
Consider today the beginning of your employee appreciation lifestyle change. Are you committed to supporting and encouraging your staff not just today, but every day? Are you committed to doing the small things, the big things and the hard things to ensure your associates are adequately fueled and empowered to become their very best selves?
How are you showing your associates that they are a valued, respected part of your team? And that they’re worthy and capable of greatness?
If you want to make a big impact on them and your organization, you may have to make a big change. Just get real with them and call out the greatness when you see it. Be humble. Be open.
