If you could be in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why?
I like stories of perseverance. Movies like Rudy, Blind Side and that Will Smith movie (what was it again?). These kinds of movies support a belief I have that I tell my kids: If you do the hard things first, life gets easier, do the easy things first and life gets hard!
What words of wisdom would you pass on to your childhood self?
Just do your best! Look for opportunities, they will present themselves and when they do... grab ‘em!
When do you feel truly alive?
Every day! Seriously, Danica taught me to appreciate the little things. I am humbled when our employees sacrifice with long hours when projects are due, I love seeing my kids succeed and I love having my mornings begin with coffee chat with my lovely wife.

Do you have any unique talents?
I'm a professional voice over artist...which you may read and say "that's not a talent." Au contraire, my friend. VO takes a lot of practice. I've spent many hours reading billboards out loud as my family and I drive down the highway. Don't believe me? Ask my wife :)
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
All you can eat snow crab legs. A whiskey old fashioned sweet with olives. French silk pie.
If you could ask your pet 3 questions, what would they be?
What is the purpose of barking at the wind? Is sleeping all day as awesome as it appears to be? And when you decide to wander the neighborhood, is there something specific you are looking for that I can just buy for you so you stay in the back yard? Or do you just need a change of scenery?

Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Drew Barrymore or Zooey Deschanel, both are quirky and fun.
What’s the most impressive thing you know how to do?
I do a spot on kermit the frog impersonation!

What’s your favorite thing in the world and why?
Besides my husband and kids? Coffee. It gives me joy, energy, keeps me from lashing out irrationally at people, helps me talk even faster... the list goes on but - oh look, my cup is empty!
What irrational fear do you have?
Many. Losing my eyesight is up there. Along with flying off a bridge while driving.
What’s your favorite activity?
Drinking coffee, with a book in my hands and Pinterest on my phone!

If you could abolish one piece of modern technology, what would it be and why?
Mobile phones. There's something beautiful about seclusion and being disconnected that's increasingly hard to find in the modern world.
What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?
The countryside of Thailand. The scenery and atmosphere is drastically different from our world in the West, and their everyday life is a refreshing change of pace.
What’s your favorite activity?
Building and fixing things. Whether it's household work, modifying a car, or building a website, it's very rewarding to create something great with your own hands.

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
I love music, but if it is a live performance, I think musicals are more powerful. My favorite is Les Miserables. The music is so inspiring and emotional. I saw the Broadway Performance in New York City when I was younger with my dad, so it will always hold a special place for me.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would change my necessity to sleep. Think how productive you could be if everyone else had to sleep, but you did not! Or, how much Netflix you could watch! :)
What's your favorite activity?
My favorite activities (besides playing with my kids) are reading and running. Reading while running. I am not ashamed to be a treadmill runner because I can kill the time by reading a great book!

What animal represents you and why?
The animal that best represents who I am is an elephant. Elephants need a social life and family to be happy, but they are also very gentle and have super memories that remember the tiniest of details.
Which would you pick: being world-class attractive, a genius or famous for doing something great? Why?
Doing something great. I always strive to be the greatest version of myself and I always want to help others. In the end, it doesn't matter how attractive you may or may not be or how smart you are. People remember you for who you are as person.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of studying abroad. It was a difficult decision to leave home for 4 months not knowing what was going to happen in that amount of time in a foreign country. I gained a lot of independence from my experience and it taught me that there is so much more to life than what we already know. There are new people to meet and new cultures to experience.

I would drive all around the country seeing national landmarks without any crowds.

Four. Because my son, Emerson, is just about that age and it's amazing to see his sense of wonder about the world. He wants to learn about everything and is so excited to discover things everyday.

What’s the coolest place you’ve ever traveled to?
The Masters golf tournament at August National Golf Club. Being able to attend the most difficult sporting event to get tickets to with my wife, Beth, gave us both a greater appreciation for the game and history of golf.
If you could abolish one piece of modern technology, what would it be and why?
The smart phone. There is something to be said for the simpler times. I also worry about the effects smart phones have on our ability to communicate effectively with one another.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
Definitely napping. While I was in college, I thought I got pretty good at it, but would normally take 2-3 hour naps. Since becoming a dad, I have mastered the 10-minute nap that can be taken just about anywhere.

Tamagotchis. I never owned one as a kid and feel like I missed out.
As the only living person on Earth, what would you do?
Travel to amusement parks and enjoy every ride without having to wait in lines.
What is your best childhood memory?
Around the time I was in middle school, there was an outdoor hockey game played on Lambeau Field between the Wisconsin Badgers and Ohio State Buckeyes, and the day before the game (the "Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic") I had the chance to both go on the field and skate on the rink. As someone who loves hockey, this was such a unique and surreal experience that I will never forget.

1313 Mockingbird Lane (home of The Munsters)
