A New Look at Resolutions!
Wednesday, January 3, 2018 - Joe Kiedinger
Of course, being the first Wisdom on Wednesday of the year, I must write about making resolutions. Perhaps looking at resolutions differently may help you be more successful. I’m speaking to myself on this one as well.
Every year, millions of people make resolutions to quit bad habits or to better their mind, spirit or body. Some, a combination of both. I was watching ET (Entertainment Tonight) this week. My wife likes the show; I can’t stand it. However, I did watch this episode.
They interviewed celebs regarding their New Year’s resolutions and Hugh Jackman offered some different advice that can build success. Hugh explained that he doesn’t make resolutions for the year, he makes them for the day.
Every day he gets up, sets a goal and writes it down. At the end of the day, he rates himself on a scale of 1-10. Did he succeed on that goal or did he fail? I’m giving that a shot!
No matter how you define success, successful people make many goals. Make this the year of goal setting. You can’t grow what you don’t track.
Happy New Year!
